Regular nail trims are particularly important for indoor and senior cats as they do not use their claws enough to wear them down. Overgrown nails can result in cats getting stuck in furniture, bedding or clothing which can be quite distressing. Nails also can also become so long they curl around and grow into your cat’s paw pad causing pain and if left untreated can cause infection which may require a vet visit.
