January 2024 will mark 2 years in business for Nursing Pawfection. Unfortunately, it is now time for me to review my pricing and make some small changes. I strive to make my services affordable and promote maintenance services at a reduced rate. For that reason, I am only raising the price of late payment, cancellation and missed appointment fees. I have also reviewed the call-out fees in some areas. There will be no increase in the price of my services!

Late Payment Account Fee

Until now, I have not applied an account fee to unpaid accounts. I completely understand that life is busy and sometimes you just forget to go back to an invoice after you open it. Sadly, I am spending increasing amounts of time sending not only reminder but also over-due payment emails. I would rather spend time caring for your pets!

From January 1^st, any unpaid accounts will receive ONE reminder email 7-14 days after your appointment. If payment is still not made after 48 hours, an additional fee of $5 per month will be applied to your account.

A reminder that payment is due on the day, so an extra couple of weeks is still generous.

Late Cancellation Fee

In the last 6 months, I have had an increasing number of cancellations with less than 24-hours’ notice, and several on the day. Many of these are for unavoidable reasons but not all of them. I often do not charge existing clients a late cancellation fee because of illness, or unexpected commitments. This not only means I miss out on income, but also makes it more difficult for other clients to get appointments in a timely manner.

From January 1^st, all appointments cancelled with less than 24-hours’ notice will be charged a $30 late cancellation fee, regardless of the reason. This will need to be paid before another appointment can be made. If I am unable to attend your booked appointment and provide less than 24 hours’ notice, I will apply a $30 discount to your visit.

Missed Appointment Fee

Thankfully, missed appointments are not a common occurrence, but they do happen and can be very time consuming. The most common reason for missed appointments, is a cat who has not been properly contained or the appointment has been completely forgotten.

From January 1^st, all missed appointments will be charged the appropriate call-out fee AND 50% of the time allocated to your appointment. This fee covers the cost of my travel to you and the loss of income. This will need to be paid before another appointment can be made.

Call out Fees

Since starting business, the cost of fuel (everything else!) has increased significantly. There are many factors involved in determining the call out fee to each area. These include, distance, travel time, number of regular appointments in the area, availability of parking to name a few. The new pricing from January 1^st is outlined below:
