This is a chance to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of every Veterinary Nurse and give a special shout out to the extra special ones. It is also a chance for those not in the industry to learn a little more about what Veterinary Nurses do.

I have been lucky enough to work with some truly amazing Veterinary Nurses in my 10 year career. Some are my best friends, some I haven’t seen in years. This is my shout out to them, they have all helped make me the nurse I am today. And one lucky nurse I am! My day to day job is much less stressful than general practice but I am still lucky enough to work in the SPCA vet clinic which keeps me learning from new cases, vets and nurses and allows me to practice skills I wouldn’t get to in day to day. You may be surprised by some of the skills Veterinary Nurses have!
