There is a big change coming to the Nursing Pawfection crew. After 3 years, I have decided to give up my permanent Veterinary Nursing shift in the SPCA vet clinic on Fridays.

The warmer months are in sight! Who’s excited?!  The Nursing Pawfection humans are big fans of Winter but I think the felines have had their fill of naps by the heat pump and are ready to enjoy the hammock in the sun again!  In this newsletter, we have information about the upcoming Selwyn Pet Expo and our very first Pet of the Month!

Welcome to July and Winter! It has been a chilly one so far and I have certainly seen that results of that in my grooming patients. Coats are getting thick and fluffy to keep warm, but also get wet and tangled when pets are outdoors. I can’t stress enough how important it is to get on top of these things BEFORE matting occurs. Grooming appointments fill up fast at this time of year, so get in touch soon if you need helps with your pet’s Winter jacket!

It’s a late and brief newsletter this month. The last week has been hectic with one very sick little cat.

Welcome to May and another super newsy newsletter. As I was planning this newsletter in my head, I was overwhelmed with the amount of family, foster, product,  and industry updates  I have! It’s been a busy month.

Happy Easter and welcome to April! The Nursing Pawfection team have had a pretty quiet long weekend. As Ollie gets older, he wants more frequent short walks, so long weekends are great for getting in LOTS of those. With six foster cats and our own seven felines, the rest of the weekend was spent entertaining, cleaning and socialising them too.

At the end of this month, we celebrate Easter. While working in general practice, every single Easter we had a least one dog who had eaten a toxic amount of chocolate which resulted in us inducing vomiting. Chocolate vomit is a smell I will never forget! For this reason, March at Nursing Pawfection is all about dangerous foods.

I have decided to celebrate all things dental this month, and share some of my favourite tips, tricks and products to help keep your furry family member’s pearl whites healthy! There is of course the usual updates on our family’s misadventures and an update on our beautiful foster Duchess.

And just like that, a new year begins! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and were able to get a bit of a break. We had a lovely couple of weeks catching up on life, visiting family and relaxing with our furry children. I was truly spoilt by all of my lovely clients before the end of last year, so I have eaten far too much chocolate. Hopefully my uniform still fits! I’ll be back on the road bright and early tomorrow morning for a very busy first week back! I can’t wait to see everyone. It’s another short and sweet newsletter this month. We have a little foster update – Honey & Tonks found their forever homes – should I have said ‘spoiler alert’? A couple of Nursing Pawfection family updates and some upcoming dates to be aware of.

Another year almost over. I honestly don’t know where the time is going. It’s a short and sweet one this month, we honestly haven’t got time for much else! I do want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for supporting me and my small business. I couldn’t do this without you!

January 2024 will mark 2 years in business for Nursing Pawfection. Unfortunately, it is now time for me to review my pricing and make some small changes. I strive to make my services affordable and promote maintenance services at a reduced rate. For that reason, I am only raising the price of late payment, cancellation and missed appointment fees. I have also reviewed the call-out fees in some areas. There will be no increase in the price of my services!
